Sweden training campThursday, 18 December 2008 As part of our preparation for the Yukon Arctic Ultra, Team Helmut headed to northern Sweden for training camp. Our goal was to replicate as much as possible the conditions we expect to face during the YAU. Given it was 12 days from the winter solstice, we only had 1.5 hours of sunlight and temperatures of -27 C, so a really good test for our equipment and fitness.
   
Highlight was the M&M Olympics. Low point, definitley spilling water on my gloves at -27C whilst my core temparature was already quite low. Have not experienced so much pain in a long time.
